We take responsibility for future generations and for the region we operate in. Our environmental management system is certified annually according to ISO 14001:2015.

Our principles

Our guiding principle for all our activities is to avoid or reduce environmental impact to a minimum – sometimes exceeding statutory regulations – through a continuous improvement process. This includes constantly reviewing whether auxiliary materials and processes with lower environmental impact can be used, as well as adapting our technical systems and development.

A higher level of material efficiency is to be achieved by reducing material usage, for example by minimizing scrap, reducing offcuts, or increasing the use of replacement parts.

Recycling and disposal are important and are consistently implemented within the Bauer Group. Environmental protection is the responsibility of every single employee in the company.

Regular maintenance of machines and systems, the immediate rectification of defects, and the monitoring of the effectiveness of environmental protection measures are carried out at Maschinologen.

Participant in the Bavarian Environmental Pact

The Bavarian Environmental Pact is an agreement between the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian business community. It is based on voluntary participation, personal responsibility and cooperation. In the Environmental Pact, the Bavarian State Government and the Bavarian business community express their firm conviction that the natural environment can be better protected through voluntary and reliable cooperation between the state and the business community rather than through laws and regulations alone.

Weilheim Environmental Award

In recognition of their outstanding contributions to environmental protection and nature conservation, the mechanical engineers were awarded the City of Weilheim i. OB. Environmental Prize.

Weilheim-Schongau Location Expert

The ‘Location Expert’ initiative is organised by the Economic Development and Regional Management Department of the Weilheim-Schongau district. Maschinologen was recognised for its strong ties to the local area and its community involvement.

Awarded ÖKOPROFIT Company 2010/2011

ÖKOPROFIT (which stands for „Ecological project for integrated environmental technology“) is a cooperation project of municipality and enterprises. The districts of Starnberg and Weilheim-Schongau support enterprises in improving their corporate environment protection policies. Maschinologen, as participants at ÖKOPROFIT, get the chance of developing and implementing measures for savings and strategies for environment protection with the help of external expertise.
